While not as readily produced as its other MADE In USA counterparts, the Lapstone & Hammer has plans for a revitalized 2023 featuring the Massachusetts-manufactured silhouette’s staple suede and mesh tooling. Recently, the fourth iteration in the 990 series indulged in its iconic greyscale association.
Indulging in a much more worn suede appearance in contrast to its recent purple appearance, the pair’s dominantly employed hairy light grey overlays come accented by faded navy underlays and mid-foot “N” logos. Starkly illuminated by notes of buttercream hitting the ENCAP cushioning and nubuck heel tab, the presiding mesh base layer and tongue construction engages in an all-out assemblage of cream while rendering additional color matches along its set of laces.
Concluded by a monochrome finish attributing the sole unit underfoot, in the meantime enjoy a first look at the upcoming Lapstone & Hammer “Grey/Navy” below.
