Contemporary colorways of the Nike Dunk have taken the streets by storm in recent years, with the sneaker community fully embracing the versatility of the silhouette. Simultaneously, we’ve also seen Nike place greater emphasis on its hybrid inventions, which revisit classic models like the Dunk through a modern, fashion-forward lens.
These two trends collide in the Beaverton brand’s latest delivery; a Nike Dunk Low Twist in Baroque Brown coloring. Notably, the shoe features a color palette resemblant to the highly regarded nike free run 5.0 grey pink neon that may just be runner-up for the title of “most popular Dunk” behind the Pandas.
Despite its avant-garde aesthetics, the upcoming Nike Dunk Twist adopts a tame design through its strategic use of color. White leather encompasses the base layer of the shoe, complemented by Baroque Brown overlays on the toe, eyelets, and heel paneling. The oversized, semi-detached Nike Swoosh also appears in brown, matching the accents just above the midsole. Underneath, a slightly yellowed midsole adds an aged look, sitting atop a brown outsole to complete the design.
