Anwar Carrots x PUMA “Scavenger Hunt” Collection Drops On July 5th

Within an iconic conglomeration of streetwear retailers like Supreme, Union, and Stüssy in LA’s Fairfax District, Anwar Carrots, founder of his eponymous Carrots label, has been a fixture for years. A model, documentarian, restaurant co-founder, and overall creative maverick, Anwar’s sneaker collaborations have been abundant and highly celebrated.

In recognition of his first ever footwear project with Puma back in 2014, the two parties have created a massive “Scavenger Hunt” collection consisting of apparel, accessories, and for our purposes; four sneakers. While the words “Scavenger Hunt” imply some sort of brand activation centered around exclusive access, that’s not the case here. On top of typical brand hallmarks and a welcome re-introduction of Puma’s “Super Puma” mascot from the 1970s, each garment comes with a hidden Carrots logo embroidered on a different area, comprising a playful overarching theme.

As far as the sneakers go, the delivery consists of two Puma 180 and Logo PUMA x FIRST MILE sul petto colorways each. Exemplifying trending streetwear aesthetics, both models are chunky, skate-inspired shoes that align seamlessly with what’s hot on Hollywood streets.

The Puma 180 is presented in orange and black-dominant colorways, both of which feature hairy suede overlays, Cordura fabrics, and green gum soles Basket. Not without thoughtful detailing, the shoes are also joined by rope laces, green Carrots branding on the heel, and a metallic Puma logo on the tongue, fueling an even more premium appearance.

Meanwhile, the Logo PUMA x FIRST MILE sul petto colorways mix up their material compositions. The puffed-up take on the classic Puma Suede comes drenched in orange hairy suede on one pair, while the other communicates a distressed, pre-aged aesthetic through multiple textiles and thoughtful detailing.

The Anwar Carrots x PUMA “Scavenger Hunt” collection is set to release in full on July 5th, with the Puma 180 colorways listed at $110 and Logo PUMA x FIRST MILE sul pettos marked for $95.
