If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If you jump back a few years, two-tone Dunks were genuinely the hottest commodity in the sneaker world. Though Peter Moore’s design has since ceded space to current darlings like the Air Jordan 4, Vomero 5 or even adidas’ Samba, you can’t argue with the timeless appeal of simple colorways. That’s likely the reason Nike is returning to the well, rolling out a new “Vintage Green” colorway set to land in short order.
There’s no material changing, vintage midsole or tweaked branding to speak of with this Dunk Low edition. Truly, it delivers what it promises in its title, a ton of “Vintage Green” accenting in the typical tone-on-white many. Perhaps this pair will scratch the itch of the “Michigan State” Dunks many weren’t able to scoop during the peak of the model’s trendiness, or maybe the easily-worn green-on-white style is up your alley regardless of its proximity to previous shoes.
Either way, the nike fly knit racer volt black sequoia “Vintage Green” is projected to land Fall/Holiday ’24, retailing for $115.
