As two of the biggest names in the history of streetwear, Supreme x Jordan is always major, major news. The pair are uniting for an apparel collection set to land on October 3rd, and there’s a lot of head turners that comprise this collab.
Before we get into the apparel womens, these official shots potentially hint at the brands’ next footwear release. While models sport classic Js like the Jordan 12 “Flu Game” and Jordan 13 “He Got Game,” two specific images depict an all-black Jordan 12 with a red Jumpman, a detail that sets it apart from previous nocturnal colorways like the “Winterized” or “Utility.”
In typical Supreme fashion, a starring graphic tee and sweats are the Friends course. Ushered into the photograph tee canon, Biggie Smalls appears in grayscale, himself sporting an Air Jordan tee. Simplistic sweats & hoodies capitalize on the Supreme/Jumpman emblem, minimized on the breast of the pullover and plastered in full size on its rear side.
Likely commanding the highest Navy point, the “Puffer Jacket” stands as the best example of the uniting theme of this collection. Late 90s/early 2000s aesthetics truly run rampant, with the detachable fur hood and bulky frame carrying that motif here. A triple set of track suits and jersey warm ups line up well with those Y2K sensibilities, both halves carrying matching light blue/navy, brown/olive and all-black colorways. Headbands, a drawstring bag, crew socks and an all-black basketball round out the offerings.
It’s worth noting that the second edition in Jordan x Supreme (at least from an apparel standpoint) is far more expansive than their inaugural effort. 2015 only delivered monochromatic sweats, tees and a few jacket styles, making the pieces for FW24 much more expressive fare. Official shots of this link-up drop amid rumors of a Supreme Jordan 17 potentially in the works, a footwear addition that’d make this easily their most notable drop yet. However, so far, info is scant about when that shoe might come about. The Supreme Jordan apparel collection drops on October 3rd via Supreme’s online store and their retail locations around the US, with an Asia release following on October 5th.
