That proved to be the earth-shattering move in the history of the annual NBA Draft tradition as it changed the course of the two involved franchises in completely different directions.
Rubbing it in the faces of the Charlotte brass, the Kobe “Draft Day” series is a string of Nike Kobe footwear releases with the Hornets colors of light blue, purple, and white. While it did cease after some time, the Kobe “Draft Day” releases were always highly sought after for its significance and for the attractive look (what can we say, the Hornets have dior colors).
