The adidas ZX running shoe series began in 1984 with the original 500. After a decent number of releases in 2012, the ZX 500 has been limited to more exclusive drops this year, but that looks to change with the introduction of a brand new variation on this nearly thirty year old design. The adidas skateboarding celebrates 30 years of skin phillips Trail has a relatively familiar shape up top, but the overall design has been shifted, and somewhat radically at the sole, where a chunky trail ready base marks its intent with two-tone speckling. This ruggedized ZX 500 Trail also uses Cordura fabric instead of the traditional nylon/mesh combo so you’ll stay comfortable in harsh conditions, and you’ll find them available now at select Three Stripes stockists including Overkill.
