“My interests have changed, my game has changed and this is a perfect shoe for who I am now,” says Kevin Durant about his latest and most innovative signature sneaker yet, the Nike KD 9. Designed once again by Nike Basketball designer Leo Chang, the newest chapter of Durant’s signature line features a high-performance build with the versatility of his game in mind, for a shoe able to handle guard-like change of direction or the power of a big man down on the block. The KD 9 introduces Flyknit construction to Durant’s line for a lightweight glove-like fit, while a heel-to-toe visible Zoom Air unit sits below for responsive and snappy cushioning. The KD 9 “Zero” colorway in light grey and bright red is available now in limited quantities at Nike.com and select Nike retailers, with the KD9 Premiere (white/blue/red) and KD9 “Mic Drop” (black/white) to follow in the near future. The KD 9 will retail for an appealing price of $150. See all three initial colorways in detail along with a conversation with Durant and Chang below.
