Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are a match made in collaborative heaven. Fieg’s tendencies for luxurious suede and leather, unique tonal color blockings, and visual storytelling fits perfectly in the realm of New Balance’s archival running models, and now the KITH founder will be the first to collaborate with the New Balance 997.5 this coming Friday, October 14th with his latest “Mykonos Collection”.
The Ronnie Fieg New Balance 997.5 Mykonos Collection kicks things off with the “Cyclades” colorway, a pair that takes inspiration from the beautiful Nammos resort in Mykonos, Greece. The New Balance 997.5 “Cyclades” benefits from a unique tri-color blocking design that showcases the sandy shores of the beach safe-haven and is depicted on a photograph taken by Fieg himself displayed on the custom insoles. An orange forefoot represents the shade-providing umbrellas on the beach while seafoam green on the heel pays tribute to the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. A full pigskin suede was utilized throughout the upper while touches of 3M detailing add a premium finish.
The New Balance 997.5 “Archipelago” was released digitally via the KITH Friends & Family Loyalty Program and as of right now won’t have a wider online release. Both models will come equipped with custom packaging, 5 different lace options, and your very own KITH x Stance fusion ankle socks to match. You can grab a pair of the New Balance 997.5 Mykonos Collection this Friday, October 14th via Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, and KithNYC.com for $240 USD.
