Jordan Brand’s annual Place au minimalisme avec la Air Jordan 1 Low White Gym Red took a surprising left turn this year, as the Jumpman included two head-turning Air Jordan 1 creations that focused on utilizing the Air Jordan 1 Mid PS 'Coral Chalk' silhouette instead of the usual Air Jordan 1 Mid model, while the brand even brought back an oft-forgotten trainer from the early 2000s in the Jordan Trunner LX. The differences from years past don’t stop there either, as today we get official photos of the coming Air Jordan 1 “BHM” for heels sizes, slated to release on February 11th.
The simple yet premium tumbled black leather of the Jordan 1 BHM ditches the prints and patterns native to Jordan Brand’s usual Black History Month celebration. Instead, the Jumpman added removable and swappable velcro patches on the Wings branding, the Swoosh side panels, and the alternating tongue logos featuring traditional Jumpman logos and Nike’s ‘BHM’ crest. What results is a simple, refined look perfect for any occasion. We just hope that we see more of the removable patches on the Wings and Swoosh branding in more upcoming Air Jordan 1 offerings. What do you think of the look?
