Premier and Nikes skateboarding imprint have hooked up on a special xvi Dunk Low Premium | Nike SB Is Releasing A “What The” xvi Dunk High

Update: Nike confirms that this release is a collaboration with artist Thomas Campbell featuring his quilt-inspired artwork.

The idea of combining multiple colors/patterns/textures to one shoe was coined by Nike SB back in 2007 with the release of the “What The” SB xvi Dunk. Since then the mosaic concept has been running by Nike several times over with shoes like the LeBron 11, a “What The Doernbecher”, and others, but none is as masterfully done as the original. This July, Nike Skateboarding revisits the “What The” idea on the SB xvi Dunk High and mixing in brand logos and new patterns around the shoe.
