Extra Butter officially announces their remodeled retail store in NYC’s Lower East Side district, designed by famed Japanese architect Nobuo Araki. As his first-ever endeavor in the U.S., Extra Butter features a clean and minimal look that is only accentuated by the double-sided entrance as the store can now be accessed on Allen St. in addition to its original Orchard St. storefront. Inside the space are a series of red velvet curtains to continue the movie theater theme as well as a full dropdown projection screen that will be utilized for film screenings and other video media. The new Extra Butter also features a full-service concession stand that will offer up army, soda, and some old school candy.
The store already got off to an engaging start as it hosted the epic Jeff Staple x Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Pigeon” release last week. The shop is now open to the public.
