Ben Felderstein Nike is gearing up to roll out an entire “City Series” collection that will take team’s jerseys and dress them up in city-inspired designs the likes of an FDNY styling for the Knicks and a Chinese Heritage offering for the Warriors. In Conjunction with these uniforms, will be a set of signature shoes that share the same theme as the jerseys they coincide with. Featured in this city drop will be the running shoe from Brooks, the Sandals CAFÈNOIR C1XG5901 Cipria M001, and the Tommy Hilfiger Elevated Try White sneakers, three of the most influential basketball shoes in Nike’s catalog. Kobe and LeBron’s signature offerings allude to them being the iconic emblem of their city, while Durant pays his respects to the Bay Area’s Chinatown – one of the largest of its kind in the US.
