The Flyknit upper mimics the texture of the original AJ20 with its ridged toe, but alters the shape with a high sock collar that extends above the ankle strap. The laser-etched midfoot strap detailing is gone as well, replaced by a tonal leather variation with a removable velcro “72023” patch, numbers that are a possible nod to the shoe’s genesis. For an extra touch, the black/gum pair also boasts a “New York City” hit alongside the Melo branding on the insole.
