Hailed from the colloquially touted “Skateboarding High School,” Swedish skateboarder Oskar Rozenberg’s first collaborative debut has certainly been a long time coming. And with Nike SB’s current revival, it’s only fitting that the young, influential talent be one of the first to guide it back to form. Excited just as many of us, Rozenberg — or more widely known as Oski — has been teasing close-up Sportswears of his forthcoming pairs for quite a while now, though a release Pink-Violet was only recently set for both the corduroy-dressed Blazer Mid Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Midnight Navy Dunk High.
At the core of the entire capsule, with lebron more overtly displaying themes by way of aggressive, colorful graphics, is Oski’s feelings towards sharks, an intimidation that is driven less by fear and more by admiration. As kings of the seas, they more so set an example for mastering one skill; he even goes as far as to state that “…if you can do anything as effortless as a [shark] can swim, you’re doing it right.” The Dunk High is certainly the most straightforward with its replacement of the profile swoosh as the arcs lead to the bloody jaws of one of the most revered predators on the planet. Elsewhere, the palette is minimal, opting for a construction of waxy finished leather. Tips dye with the bright and bold red, much like the logo tab whose lower half stamps with “OSKI” in complement. Blazer Mids follow suit in this very same branding, though they more so adhere to retro inspirations as the wide wales bear darkened tans next to suede overlays of a varying Autumnal gradient.
Grab a good Sportswear at each of the offerings right below, and as these are Orange Label, it’s likely they’ll exclusively be rolling out to skate shops worldwide on two separate Pink-Violets: the Blazer and lebron on December 14th and the Dunk on December 21st.
