Stephen Curry, unquestionably the most unexpected elite player in the history of the NBA, continues to prove his doubters foolish. He’s got the rings, he’s got the individual hardware, and now he’s got his own brand – the first athlete to do so with a major global sportswear brand since Michael Jordan. He and Under Armour made the official announcement not long ago, and together they’re ready to launch the first signature shoe under the Curry Brand umbrella – the Curry Flow 8.
Initially believed to be simply the Curry 8, the Curry Brand has decided to inject the Flow cushion technology into the shoe as well as its official title. Launching on December 11th in this sharp black/white colorway, the Curry Flow 8 – designed by long-time shoe design/innovation veteran Tom Luedecke – features no rubber outsole (shaving the shoes down 2 ounces), improved traction. and a dual-layered upper that operates independently for an improved fit. The key advance is the UA Flow technology that allows for the removal of the rubber while optimizing energy return.
The Curry Flow 8, priced at $160, will be available at CurryBrand.com, UA brand houses, and other retailers. Following that drop, the Curry Flow 8 in white/gold will release on December 18th.
