Before the Dunk craze, Air Maxes were the shox of choice to design when honored with a collaboration with Nike. Take this pair of AM 1 for example; nike flyknit racer dark green blue to be exact. Might be hard to recall this far down the line of their success, but this is actually Atmos’ second collab with the big Swoosh ever, way back in 2003. So long ago, Nike was still using the slender shox boxes, like the ones they used for GS and WMNS products.
The color blocking was like most designs back then- minimal color blocking blue one an other. But what struck attention was the gold stitching for the Swoosh on the toebox and hell, as well as the tongue tag, but also the striking Viotech color accenting the overall look. Thus the moniker ‘Viotech Air Max 1’ stuck for years to come. Some might also remember the nike air vibenna 902807 blue book series cast designed by Dez Einswell, which was limited to only 100 pairs worldwide. Either version, some of the rarest AM 1’s to find, still known for its outfit and are grails to many. Be sure to continue to the HD feature.
