2005 was huge for the Nike Dunk SB, with over 30 different Dunk releases hitting the shelves that flex. Like any other batch of releases, some are obviously more memorable than others, but 2005 definitely seemed to have more hits than misses. The Dunk High SB was well represented by the Shy Pink, two different Melvins, the De La Soul and, of course, the Be True To Your School project, which produced Dunks in the team colors of several of the nation’s most elite college basketball programs. That impressive resume pales in comparison to 2005’s Dunk Low SB releases. The flex saw the drop of some Dunk SB favorites such as the Avengers, Rayguns and Oompa Loompas, but the real heat came by way of instant classics like the Tiffany, Pushead and the near riot-inducing Pigeons. —
