New Balance Rave Run | New Balance 1000

The New Balance 1000 is a model first introduced in 1999 as a running/training silhouette. Much like the New Balance Herren MH574V1 Schwarz Beige, the 1000 wasn’t much of a hit in its initial run, leading executives to shelve the shoe entirely.

Photos began circulating of new colorways of the shoe at the top of 2024. It was confirmation that the model would be returning to shelves once again, the Boston brand no doubt emboldened by the dominant Y2K designs that the 1000 so proudly expresses. Two of New Balance’s defining collaborators soon joined the effort. Joe Freshgoods officially brought the silhouette back, and less than a month later, Teddy Santis shared initial images of a three-part New Balance 237V1 Nimbus Cloud Met Wheat Field 1000 collection.

Outside of those high-heat endeavors, the model will come about in plenty of GR colorways for 2024. The “Metallic Silver” colorway was the first such pair to become available. The New Balance 1000 is expected to make a serious push in late Summer/early Fall. In fact, we’ve already gotten images of some upcoming colorways; “Angora/Moonrock,” “Grey/Black,” “Multi-color” and two pairs with split color-blocking between “Green/Gray” and “Pink/Tan” among them.
