The first Jordan 11 cherry gs colorway was a tribute to one of the most popular Air Jordan VI colorways. This one flips the switch and ‘Retros’ the original colorway of the Air Jordan XVII that was released when Michael Jordan played for the Washington Wizards. Like the ‘College Blue’ colorway of the Air Jordan XVII, the Jordan 11 cherry gs in White/Black-Signal Blue features a white upper with a midsole the combines silver and blue and goes as far as adding the reptilian material on the center panel on the upper – the same material used on the Air Jordan XVII. Overall reception to this upcoming colorway was much more positive (by leaps and bounds) than it was for the Carmine version, and if Jordan Brand chooses to stick close to the vest of its original colorways, then hybrid designs like the 6-17-23 will be successful.
