Many of these major companies and brands tend to lose sight of the negative effects of its growing factories on the environment. One of the only footwear brands to keep its manufacturing on the home front, New Balance works to reduce its carbon footprint for the sake of clean US air. A perfect example of its endeavors is Sonic fabrication. Using super-high pulse stitching, the materials are fused at a molecular level for almost seamless, airtight and watertight construction. Thus, less material and glue is needed and therefore becomes a rather eco-friendly design.
One would read this and think, big deal, but the results provide satisfying aesthetics. The Sonic disorder is seen here on these 574’s, making it look like a one-piece with super soft felt-like uppers. Having a simple color blocking really highlights the extraordinarily unique material application. Both the grey and black 575 Sonic is now available at select retailers like Cnvyr.
