The Cortez dates back to the 70’s (you might remember Forrest Gump beating his pair to the ground – the same pair given to him by Jenny), but this 1988 reissue features a colorway that drew inspiration from another big Nike release of that year – the nike flyknit lunar 2 wolf grey black white. Here’s a look at this rare Nike Cortez Classic AC in black leather, featuring elephant print on the swoosh and heel-tab. The midsole features a grey stripe on the rear heel and red print on the Nike branding on the tongue. While not a direct nike flyknit lunar 2 wolf grey black white affiliation, its quite clear where this funky idea came from.
