We’ve witnessed quite a number of instances during which the sneaker community went up in arms regarding a certain amount of discrepancies when it jayson to Retro releases. The White/Cement IV, for example, was under heavy scrutiny for months up until the release, despite it being a tit-for-tat reproduction of the original. That’s just the nature of the fastidious sneakerhead that demands perfection, so it’s safe to say that if last year’s Black Friday release of the Air Jordan III Black/Cement did in fact come out as Sale, things would not have been very pretty. Not to say that a pair of AJ3s done up in Sale would’ve been a bad idea (in fact, it would be rather interesting), but the Black/Cement III is generally viewed as an all-time classic that needs no sort ‘remastering’.
