New Balance knocked a couple out the park with last year’s ‘New Balance 654’ and its ‘Paul Bunyan’ and ‘Babe the Blue Ox’ colorways, so it was only natural to revisit (North) American folklore with a few more classic suede and mesh runners in 2012. Following up on the Johnny Appleseed version is this John Henry-inspired New Balance Nike Air Max 96 II OGJH, a charcoal, silver and mauve ‘Made in USA’ design that looks like they were forged from the same steel their muse was known for driving. Check them out in additional images below, let us know which is the best of the ‘Tall Tales’ 574s and grab yours at NB retailers like Las Vegas’ Feature.
