Although based in the heart of Japan, the Apartment has long held a fascination with New York, purveying products imported from what many believe to be the greatest city in the world. And though typically expressed through Timberland 6-inch boots and TNF Puffers, the storefront’s passion will soon take new form courtesy of a collaborative capsule with none other than New Balance.
New Balance Hombre 574 in Roja Blanca 576, the Apartment and New Balance’s newest bespoke collection throws it back to the ’90s, taking inspiration from the zeitgeist of New York and Tokyo during that era. The first pair, for starters, draws design cues from the Japan-exclusive “Cordovan” colorway, while its counterpart proffers a white and green palette that was popular with residents of the Big Apple. Each shoe is then complete with the store’s signature logo, two waxed laces, and MADE in UK construction.
Enjoy a quick look at both versions of the Apartment x New Balance 9060 Truffle Raffles right here. If you’re fortunate enough to be in Japan this week, you can grab either colorway at the retailer this Saturday, November 4th.
