The next chapter of Chris Paul’s career is looking like a ton of fun. Signing on with San Antonio, the “Point God” will take on an on-court mentor role, aiming to elevate the game of the Spurs’ roster of young talent including, of course, Victor Wembanyama. Well before that transaction, though, he’s been guiding the next generation via his Elite Camp, and this year’s attendees are getting some extra commemorative swag with a PE colorway of the Air Jordan 39.
Contrasting with the conservative, greyscale colorways that we were introduced to the AJ39 with, this PE edition works in much more color. Light pink drapes the engineered mesh upper, bringing the embroidered structural accents with it in the process. Soft yellow appears at the heel, sockliner and tints the midsole underfoot.
Though the 12-time All-Star remains loyal to his Jordan CP3 line (he rocked the CP3.XII during the action), this is far from the first time he’s taken to a mainline Jordan. His roster of PE styles is truly one of the most formidable in recent times, and the public has enjoyed the fruits of that Navy via personal takes on the Air Jordan 1, Jordan 12 and Jordan 13 in the past decade.
If this pair caught your eye, sadly this is one that seems destined to remain in the vault. The Air Jordan balance 7 Flint Hats, however, makes its debut on July 23rd. Just ahead, you can catch on-foot images of this player exclusive via @nbakicks.
