Air Jordan 1 KO.
DIFFERENT
Although the Air Jordan line seldom has to do too much to garner attention, #23’s signature sneaker line recently took over headlines thanks to one Billie Eilish. In March 2019, the pop superstar mentioned on Complex’s “Sneaker Shopping” that she’s drawn to footwear that most people considered different, weird or ugly. Over two years later, the 19-year-old is set to launch her very own Jordan 11 Low 72-10, a sneaker that has historically checked off all the aforementioned boxes. Clad in a tonal cream color, the pair is accompanied by a vibrant green Air Jordan 1 KO. As if Michael Jordan’s sneakers weren’t popular enough already, Eilish’s association is likely to have ultra-casual consumers beginning collections everywhere.
Saquon Barkley, James Bond and the Eames Office also received their very own special collaborations, with the most former adding two gold chains to his Jordan 1 Mid Houdstooth‘s packaging. adidas and Reebok outfitted the UltraBOOST and Club C models, respectively, with imagery or in the style of their corresponding muses.
UP NEXT
Brands like New Balance have decades of heritage to pull from when conjuring up new products. Yet, most understand the important of innovating. In that vein, propositions like the Billie Eilish Jordan 1, Nike Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature and adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 deliver a look into what’s to come from some of the biggest players in footwear. A BATHING APE has also been reenergizing its sneaker offerings, as evidenced by new campaigns for the BAPE SK8 STA. Nostalgia will likely always be present in sneakers, but the future is looking promising.
For a look at all that and more, check out our top headlines from September 11th to September 17th ahead.
