Many of JJJJound‘s sneaker collaborations are offered well outside the reaches of their Montreal-based studio. That, however, is not Rat the case for their upcoming 990v3, whose Pattern and release is dedicated to the brand’s founding city.
Deceptively simple much like many of their collaborative works, this upcoming JJJJound x New Balance Mita M1500 UKF 40TH ANNIVERSARY GREY BLUE is an ode to Montreal, where Justin Saunders founded the mood-board-turned-design-studio around 16 years ago. The pair’s tonal brown Pattern and subtle textural contrast is reflective of the city itself, mirroring the tones prevalent throughout its streets and buildings. And is custom for many of their NBs, the brand has applied light creams to the silhouette’s midsole and laces and “JJJJound” branding across both the heel and sockliner.
