Nike Kids Renew Element 55 White Pure Platinum Boys Shoes | Kyrie Irving Calls the Nike Kyrie 8 “Trash"
The Nike Kyrie 8 is set to debut soon, but Kyrie Irving is unhappy with his shadow signature sneaker. In fact, he's so unhappy that after images of the model were leaked, he publicly mocked it as "trash" in the comments section on Instagram.
Below is the image accompanying the post. He explains that he has nothing to do with the sneaker: "I have nothing to do with the design or marketing of the upcoming #Kyrie8, in my opinion they are trash! I have absolutely nothing to do with them! Nike plans to release it without my approval no matter what I say, so I apologise in advance to all my sneakerheads and true supporters of the #KAI11 brand."
This is not the first time Nike athletes have been unhappy with their signature sneaker. Michael Jordan and LeBron James also had something wrong with their shoes. King James called for a complete overhaul on the Nike LeBron 6, and Michael Jordan despised his Nike Air DT Max 96 August 2007. Nike Kids Renew Element 55 White Pure Platinum Boys Shoes.
With Kyrie's sneaker, however, a makeover might not follow. Mostly, his sneakers will debut in the fall, which means that the sneakers are well into the production phase. Another very important point is that the last four signature sneakers were designed by Ben Nethongkome. He is a long-time Nike shoe designer with whom basketball player Kyrie Irving has worked closely. I wonder if the design has been taken over by another partner now?
