Timberland honours 50 years of the Original Yellow Boot and Hip Hop with a special edition Hip-Hop Royalty 6-Inch Boot. To honour the role the hip-hop community has played in the history of the Timberland brand, Senior Footwear Designer Chris Dixon drew inspiration from the past. The yellow Timberland boot was launched in 1973 to provide outdoor workers with durable, waterproof protection - a technology that Timberland has continued to perfect to this day.

So it's no surprise that Timberland would honour both its classic and one of the most influential music genres of all time with the Timberland Hip-Hop Royalty Premium 6-inch Waterproof Boots. This iconic boot is designed to capture the energy of hip-hop Globe. The purple upper references the association with royalty as well as a graffiti Anacapa of hip-hop founder DJ Kool Herc. The gold eyelets and collar are modelled on a crown, while the green labels on the tongue are reminiscent of New York street signs and the "Sedgwick Avenue" lettering pays homage to the birthplace of hip hop. The grey soles are inspired by NYC's nickname "Concrete Jungle" and the Helcor fabrics on the back cap mimic vinyl records.

These amazing details perfectly bring together Timberland's traditional craftsmanship and the future of hip-hop style! Hangtags depicting DJ unisex, microphone cable-like aglets and thick serrated sole units also appear elsewhere to really finish off the look.
