Caroline Hu, a rising star in the Chinese fashion scene, has teamed up with Edison Chen's CLOT and carnival adidas Originals to create a collection that fuses traditional Chinese motifs with modern aesthetics.

Caroline Hu, known for her ethereal and feminine designs under her brand Reverie by Caroline Hu, has made significant strides in the fashion world. She gained recognition as a finalist of the LVMH Young Designer Award and the BoF China Prize and eventually became the first winner of the BoF China Prize. This collaboration marks her debut in ready-to-wear fashion korean her presentation at the CLOT Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show in Shanghai.

The collection explores human connections and emotions and features intricate designs inspired by Chinese flora and fauna. Hu collaborated with artist Rao Chen to create bespoke prints that adorn the sneakers and accompanying clothing, including T-shirts, crocheted tops and pleated skirts. The sneakers themselves are a mix of delicate materials such as lace and textured silk fabric and are available in blue, pink, black and off-white colourways.

Caroline Hu emphasised the importance of this collaboration as a way to revisit and celebrate Chinese cultural elements in her designs, using vibrant colours and detailed prints to create wearable flats of art.

The Caroline Hu x CLOT x carnival adidas Originals Samba collection will be available from 24 May 2024.
