Nike and Stüssy have a long history of spectacular mash-ups that have rocked the sneaker denomination, and their latest collaboration stays true to that heritage with a flamboyant and fresh take on the famous LD-1000. This neon-coloured burst of nostalgia harks back to the 70s, when Nike wowed athletes of the time with its innovative running shoes. 
 
With green mesh and forest green suede overlays, the silhouette not only reflects Nike's heritage in technical apparel, but also Stüssy's street-smart aesthetic. The iconic Swooshes and Stüssy branding on the tongue and heel add a touch of exclusivity, which is further emphasised by the teasing "Sample" lettering on the prototype. Although the LD-1000 is yet to hit shops, its comeback heralds a bigger movement in 2024, an ode to the celebrated past of both brands.
