The Latest Release from the JJJJound x Reebok Partnership Pays Homage to the Computer Labs of the 1980s
Footwear has always been one of the main interests of Justin Saunders, better known by his pseudonym JJJJound. From ASICS to New Balance and Vans to his recent partnership with Reebok, the Montreal-based designer has created an iconic aura around each of his coveted products, which sometimes resell for more than three times their original price. Following the JJJJound x Reebok Club C "Core Black", JJJJound and Reebok have teamed up once again to revive the classic nylon silhouette, this time in a tonal grey. According to a press release, the sneaker is inspired by the colour schemes of the first computer rooms that emerged in the 1980s.
The upcoming release of the JJJJound x Reebok CL Nylon will be faithfully crafted from the same wearing as the original. These include a nylon, suede and leather upper with Terrycloth lining, a cream-coloured nylon tongue with foam padding, an EVA midsole and a rubber outsole. The shoe will be available at JJJJound.com from 7 December at 12pm EST and at Reebok.com Reebok xt sprinter 2.0 al gw1221 vecblu vecred ftwwht.
